Eric Alam
CEO & Board
Eric has managed various retail and wholesale energy businesses over the last 30 years, and has a proven track record across sales, operations, structuring, M&A, and strategy. Prior to RPD, Eric worked at Viridity, World Energy, Commerce Energy, Pennzoil, and Enron. Throughout his career, Eric has gravitated toward leading early-stage and turnaround businesses, and has particular expertise in helping customers identify innovative solutions to meet their energy-related objectives.
Evelyn Nordin
CFO
Evelyn has spent more than 20 years in various senior finance positions with publicly traded small and medium sized corporations across the IT and energy sectors, including one start up, a major transformation, and three M&A transactions. Evelyn holds an MBA from Rutgers University in Finance and Marketing.
Rohit Marwaha
EVP, Product Development & Supply
Rohit‘s expertise in building a business focused on energy procurement and supply to end use customers began over 20 years ago in the origination group of Constellation. He started by originating, negotiating and executing wholesale transactions with generators, public power entities and other wholesale marketers and then became focused on building the industry’s largest utility procurement business beginning in PJM and ultimately overseeing it nationally. Rohit has also overseen the retail pricing organization for Constellation and later the West wholesale trading desk. Rohit is now focused on using that supply and product expertise in the renewable energy sector with work at Sol Systems and now with RPD Energy as EVP of Product Development & Supply.
Tanya Lamb
Director of Marketing
Tanya’s experience includes over 18 years in B2B marketing communications. She has been a part of companies in various industries including energy, tech, engineering and real estate development. Tanya is passionate about smart, relevant brand identities and creating seamless customer journeys. Tanya holds a BA from the University of Oregon and continues to work toward her Master of Arts in Professional Communication from Southern Utah University.
Ali Karimian
Director of Portfolio Mangement
Ali has a PhD in Electrical and Computer engineering from University of California San Diego, and a masters in financial engineering from University of California Berkeley. Prior to joining RPD, Ali was the director of AI at Key Capture Energy, and a member of the market operation team. Ali started his career at the private equity firm KKR, followed by Constellation Energy. Ali served as a quant at both places.
Emily Calbert
Director of Business Development
Emily has over 17 years of business development, sales, and marketing experience across multiple industries. During her career she has worked in both direct and indirect sales channels and is passionate about developing strong relationships with her partners and customers. She has an ability to find creative solutions, solve problems and create opportunities for partners and customers which enables her to be innovative in this evolving marketplace. Emily holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of North Texas.
Max Duckworth
Chair & Investor
Max is an impact investor who provides capital and advisory services to early-stage companies seeking to disrupt and innovate their industry. He has spent over 20 years in the energy industry, including 14 years at Constellation Energy where he co-ran the wholesale commodities business and previously led the origination, trading and asset management businesses. He has particular expertise in commodity markets, structured transactions, trading & risk management, and M&A.
Greg Staple
Founder, Board & Investor
Greg has worked for over 25 years as an energy and telecommunications lawyer. He was formerly Partner at Vinson & Elkins LLP in Washington, DC, and is a serial entrepreneur. He was founder and former CEO of TeleGeography Inc., a leading source of data on international telecommunications, which was later sold to a company backed by Madison Dearborn Partners. He also serves as CEO of the American Clean Skies Foundation, a clean energy non-profit that provided seed funding for RPD.
Peter Weigand
Board & Investor
Peter is Chair and CEO of Skipping Stone, an energy consulting firm that he founded in 1996. He has more than 30 years of management experience in the retail power industry, and served as CEO of Commerce Energy, which at that time was the largest independent retail energy provider in the United States. He has bought and sold over a dozen companies in the energy and technology sectors, and has served on eight corporate boards.
Geoffrey R. Allen
Director & Investor
Geoffrey R. Allen is currently a Managing Director and the Head of Origination at Axpo U.S. LLC. Geoffrey is also a member of the Axpo U.S. management team. Geoffrey started his career in the energy sector in Houston at Enron Corp. and held similar positions at BP Energy Company, JP Morgan and American Electric Power. He received an MBA from the University of Michigan, a Diploma in International and Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Lillian Shattock
Board & Investor
Lillian Shattock is an Analyst for Arosa Capital Management and serves as the firm’s representative on the RPD Board. Prior to joining Arosa, Lillian was a Project Analyst at 3G Sahana Capital Partners. Before 3G, she was an Associate at AGC Equity Partners in London, covering Private Equity, Real Estate and Fund-of-Fund investments. She began her career in the Global Financial Advisory division of Rothschild & Co, London, covering the Industrials, TMT and Financials sectors. Lillian graduated from the University of Oxford with a B.A. in Classics.
Chris Mathey
Strategic Consultant
Chris has extensive experience in the energy industry. Those positions include senior leadership positions at the Clean Energy Buyers Alliance where he helped scale policy and innovations teams to accelerate corporate renewable energy procurement, WGL Energy where he had P&L responsibility for public sector and commercial DG businesses, and Constellation Energy where he served in a myriad of roles including Federal Government Relations and scaling Federal Energy Services. Chris has an MBA from The George Washington University School of Business and went to Clemson for his undergraduate degree. Chris focuses on special projects and strategic initiatives at RPD Energy.
